The carcinogen

Carcinogens are substances that are capable of causing cancer in humans as well as animals. Substances that are known to aggravate, but not necessarily cause it may also be called carcinogens. There are many things in our environment that are thought to cause cancer, but a substance is only considered a carcinogen if there is scientific evidence to back it up.

Some common carcinogens are smoke, asbestos, radon, arsenic as well as certain pesticides. Many of the things that we use in day to day life can also be referred to as carcinogen. Items such as chlorine, snack foods, and certain plastics are all carcinogens.
